Cary Henrie

Cary Henrie was born in 1961, and he is a graduate of Pratt Institute in New York City.

Cary’s paintings are created through a unique process of combining both oils and acrylics layered on canvas with plaster. The result is a frescoe like surface with a patina reminiscent of an age old painting in a contemporary abstract format.

The artist says of his work, "I really try to capture a symbolic or time weathered scene or landscape with an abstract sensibility."

Cary Henrie was a featured artist in Southwest Art magazine in 2006.

Notable Cary Henrie collectors include Whoopi Goldberg and Mrs. Fields Cookies.
